Adult Psychiatry Services

At Sydney Psych Hub, our Adult Psychiatry service provides comprehensive mental health care for individuals aged 18 and over.

Our psychiatrists combine medical expertise with a compassionate, person-centred approach to support your wellbeing, recovery, and long-term health.

What is Psychiatry?

Psychiatry is a medical specialty focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions. Unlike psychology, psychiatrists are doctors who can prescribe medication as part of treatment, while also offering a holistic understanding of the biological, psychological, and social factors that affect mental health.

Our psychiatrists work collaboratively with GPs, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure you receive integrated, tailored care that addresses your unique needs.

  • Discuss your goals for treatment
  • Develop a tailored care plan with you

Follow-up sessions are typically shorter and focus on treatment progress, medication management (if prescribed), and ongoing support.
